    Hi,

I’m wondering if Display Cal & an x-rite i1 Display Pro can be used to read to calculate the white value of an LED powered Lightbox?

The idea is that media will be printed on an acrylic media an illuminated from behind.  We want to calculate how to compensate the printed media to account for the color shift attributed by a warmer LED.

    Thank you,

    AJK

    Hi,

The idea is that media will be printed on an acrylic media an illuminated from behind.

Even though the media is later going to be illuminated from behind, the printing itself is still a subtractive process. There is no way around profiling the printing process, and you need a spectrometer for that. DisplayCAL can’t help you here as it is purely a display profiler.
