DisplayCal can't see the monitor.

I’m trying to calibrate 2 older monitors on older PC’s for someone and DisplayCal can’t seem to see the monitors. One is a Samsung Syncmaster and I can’t remember off hand what the other one is. I replaced the Windows XP “plug and play” monitor driver for one specific for the display released by the manufacturer but that didn’t solve the problem.

Is there any way around this issue?

Are you using the correct version of ArgyllCMS? (64-bit ArgyllCMS won’t run under 32-bit Windows!) Check the output of dispwin -?

Ah I bet that is what it was. The computers that had the problem didn’t  have internet so I just used the ver of Argyll I had on my PC.
