    Greetings!
Have a M2 colorimeter (it`s a OEM version of eye-one display 2 rev. C, as stated on a bottom sticker).
I installed X-rite driver, device was recognised, but have a question mark over icon in Device manager and in events list there was “device not migrated” record. DisplayCAL didn`t see the device.
Ok, I uninstalled X-rite driver and installed Argyll’s driver. Now DisplayCAL is able to see i1 device, but can’t start calibration with message “Error – new_disprd failed with “Instrument Access Failed”.
In log I see message about “failed to find correct unlock code”.
    Logfile is attached.
Is there a hope to set this M2 work or just throw it away?

'Not expected instrument model' (Not a i1 Display)

Argyll doesn’t seem to recognize the instrument. As it is no longer produced, I think there is not much point in getting it supported, plus the filters may have aged to a point where the device would be useless for accurate color measurements anyway.
