    Hello DisplayCAL, i’ve been using DisplayCAL for a year now but now this is my first time encountering this kind of error after installing Windows 10 x64. it says “service/proto not found”

    Hi,

    the error message doesn’t ring a bell, please attach the full logs. At which point does this error occur?

    it happens right after i open DisplayCAL and click on Download Argyll CMS

    first screen cap: after i click Download that error occurs

    Are you using a 3rd party firewall or “security” suite? Is your network configuration nonstandard in any way?

    hmm.. i don’t think so because it is a freshly installed Windows 10 so no other apps installed, only the default that comes with the operating system.

    Weird. You can always download ArgyllCMS yourself from http://www.argyllcms.com/downloadwin.html, just put/leave the ZIP file in your “Downloads” folder and DisplayCAL will automatically find it.

    Does the file %WINDIR%\System32\drivers\etc\services exist on your system and if you open it in Notepad, does it contain http and https entries?
