    Hi, hope everyone is well!

I’m super new and want to calibrate my Alienware aw3420dw Curved 34′!

I simply installed everything on my Macbook and opened DisplayCal. The display is detected but the instrument is greyed out. Please Help!

You need a measurement device, i1DisplayPro or i1Display Studio is recomended. 1st one can be used with vendor HW calibration solutions too.

    Plug in colorimeter to macbook.

Then in Tools \ Detect display & instruments will detect it if it does not show up… but you need a measurement device.

Then, if you use a colorimeter like i1displaypro,  choose appropiate spectral correction in 1st “device tab” tab. If no one shows up, use tool menu to import corrections.
