I have both my Macbook Pro 2020 and the PC plugged into the same monitor (one via DisplayPort, the other via HDMI). The brightness/contrast settings are the same for both inputs. I ran calibration and profiling with the default settings (aside from using 90cd/m²) on both machines and then did the extended verification. The Mac one shows measured black luminance of 0.2599 cd/m² and contrast ratio of 346.2:1. The PC shows black luminance of 0.4483 cd/m² and contrast of 200.2:1.
Can someone explain the difference in contrast here? Is it just due to Mac/PC platform or something else?
