When click load setting… and pick icm LUT file in C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color folder for create 3D LUT. After finish create 3D LUT it then also create additional 5 files in same folder.
    original file name : U2417H #1 2021-09-30 14-21 90cdm2 D6500 2.2 S XYZLUT+MTX.icm
additional files after create 3D LUT :
    1. U2417H #1 2021-09-30 14-21 90cdm2 D6500 2.2 S XYZLUT+MTX.Rec709.B0.0,2.4eGawn65.A2B0.CLUT.png
    2. U2417H #1 2021-09-30 14-21 90cdm2 D6500 2.2 S XYZLUT+MTX.Rec709.B0.0,2.4eGawn65.cube
    3. U2417H #1 2021-09-30 14-21 90cdm2 D6500 2.2 S XYZLUT+MTX.Rec709.B0.0,2.4eGawn65.log
    4. U2417H #1 2021-09-30 14-21 90cdm2 D6500 2.2 S XYZLUT+MTX.Rec709.B0.0,2.4eGawn65.icm
    5. Rec709.B0.0,2.4eGawn65.icm

I’m not click “save 3D LUT as…” yet, if I click then another cube file save else where same name as no 2. above.
Question is, which file is needed to keep, which is can be delete?
Original icm and icm no 4. I need both? Or which one?
Cube file in those folder and one after click “same as…” to save as else where is same?
    File icm no 5. needed?

Another way, If I create profile and enable “Create 3D LUT after profiling” then these files also create and keep in C:\Users\nquan\AppData\Roaming\DisplayCAL\storage\U2417H #1 2021-10-03 17-01 90cdm² D6500 2.2 S XYZLUT+MTX
That why I’m don’t know if I must keep those addition files? And which one I really needed?

If you want to use LUT3D alone, you only need .cube (Resolve)/.3dlut(madVR) file.

If you want to use the ICC equivalent of a LUT3D you must keep the device link profile (example: DisplayCAL LUT3D validation without using other app output)

Note ragarding Reshade: Not sure if LUT3D need more data than images, if you use that app othe rpeople may help you, I do not use it.

I just curious because when create 3D LUT for Rec709 for example, it create file – Rec709.B0.0,2.4eGawn65.icm – in DisplayCAL storage folder. I don’t know this file is necessary or not? And when I delete preset in Displaycal menu , this icm file still exist not deleted.
