Hello, I am trying to play HDR games on my 4K HDR TV and I am trying to figure out the correct settings for the 3DLUT.

    1. For color source, do I use BT2020, DCI-P3/SMPTE-431-2, DCI-P3/SMPTE-431-2 D65, or SMPTE RP 145 (NTSC)? Or am i supposed to use rec709 or any of the other options?

    2. For the Tone curve, which option do I use for PQ gamma curve, SMPTE 2084 (hard-clip) or SPMTE (roll off)? What settings do I use for which ever option I use?

    1. If the game does HDR10 correctly, then yes, source colorspace should be Rec. 2020.
    2. SPMTE (roll off). Peak luminance depends on display capabilities.

Note that profiling displays in HDR mode can be problematic as displays usually employ their own tonemapping in HDR mode, which messes with measurements.

Thank you, how do I figure out the peak luminescence for my display? I am using a Samsung RU8000 TV
