After the second set of patches finishes, I encounter the error “Mcv max – min – 2.000000e+038 too small”

I’ve tried two Windows 10 64 bit systems with the same error. Something else I thought was strange, is that when measuring white point, R,G,B, and Y start in the middle no matter what the display is set to. If I change the brightness, the value changes, and the bar shifts in the direction of the corresponding change. If I stop the measurement and start it again, it resets to the middle. Changing the brightness affects the measurement, but changing R,G,B values only affect the Y measurement and not, say, red. I would attach the log, but I do not know where to find it.

    Hi,

this may sound obvious, but did you remove the cap from the instrument before attaching it to the screen?

Same problem. There is no cap on the Colormunki Smile as far as I can tell.

Sorry for the delay, here’s my log . And no, visibly, there isn’t a cap.

Just gotta throw this in there because I was having the EXACT same problem. Called x-rite tech support yesterday. Mine is, in fact, straight up broken. Gonna return and try again.
