What about the RGB controls? Is it advisable to ignore those as well (even if the RGB bars are grossly uneven)
You can usually safely adjust RGB, it may have a benefit over having to fall back to the videoLUT (because limiting the videoLUT channels will limit the gamut and may introduce banding, while displays usually employ some sort of dithering and the RGB balance may only affect the whitepoint, thus not limiting the gamut).
