I thought color temp and gamma were related but separate when profiling a monitor. I was profiling using gamma 2.2 with color temp of 5000. When examining the ICC profiles with an analysis program, it showed gamma 2.2 and color temp of 5000. The uncalibrated gamma of the monitor as measured with DisplayCal is 1.9, so I profiled using a gamma of 2.0 with color temp of 5000. When I examine the ICC profiles, it lists the gamma of 2.0 but a color temp of 5200. So does Displaycal automatically change the color temp for best fit or did the gamma of 2.0 change the color temp?
To get a color temp of 5000, do I need to only use a gamma of 2.2?
Whitepoint and gamma are not related.
