Hi Florian
I’m characterizing an HDTV used as a computer monitor with Dispcal. When I choose the REC 709 preset on my TV I end up getting 95% gamut coverage and 101% volume.
Would I gain anything by setting my HDTV to one of the larger color spaces first. My choices are: Rec 709, DCI, Adobe, 2020, and auto… Could I get 100% coverage this way? Any downsides to doing this?
Thanks for any help you could provide.
John.

Possibly.

Non color managed content may look oversaturated (assuming Windows, not macOS).
