I created a screen profile with DisplayCal, then under “system settings->color correction” I can see the new profile under “profiles” but I do not know how to enable it / apply it to my monitor, because on “devices” tab, under my monitor entry there is only the old default profile.

I solved!
system settings->color correction, select your screen, then “add profile->available profiles” and select the profile you just created!
