    Hello,

first of all many thanks for the work on this great program!

I have a Spyder 5 pro that works well with IPS panels. Now I would be interested if the Spyder 5 pro with DisplayCal can also manage the calibration of VA panels accordingly well.
Or would I have to buy an alternative from Xrite for this?

Specifically, I am talking about the Benq EW3270-U monitor.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks and best regards

Spyders are innaccurate. Get an i1d3 colorimeter.

If you can’t, then use “Wide gamut LED” mode  (or something like that) in upper right combo in DisplayCAL’s 1st tab.
AFAIK its a 95% P3 with PFS phosphor backlight. That Spyder mode is not even close to taht backlight but that’s all you have.

Avoid spyders in the future, plan to upgrade to an i1d3 colorimeter.

    Hello,

thanks for the reply and sorry for my late answer!

The i1d3 is relatively expensive, but I could use a ColorMunki for a good price. That would probably be a good alternative, right?

I do not use my monitors professionally, so they do not need to be absolutely accurate calibrated.

    Thank you and best regards
