Hi, I’m trying to calibrate a 2017 5k iMac Wide Color Gamut display using a a Spyder 5 and DisplayCal

***This calibration is NOT for photo/video editing purposes, only for the best viewing experience of videos/etc on my iMac

I’ve done one calibration that already looks better than the out-of-box  color profile, but I would like to do a few more calibrations using the best settings.  I would really really appreciate your help:

Display and Instrument: Which “Mode”, No white/black level compensation? And which Correction? (This is a 2017 5k iMac with P3 color gamut, and Spyder 5)

Calibration: “Interactive Display Adjustment?”, observer CIE 1931 2, whitepoint: color temperature, white and black level: As measured, Tone curve gamma 2.2 relative. No ambient light adjustment.  black point correction 0%, rate 4.0, calibration speed medium

Profiling: curves +matric or single curve + matrix? (XYZ LUT isn’t compatible with some video apps I noticed). profile quality high of course. Black point compensation?? Testchart?

Thanks so much, and I’m sorry to bother you but this is not my field, and I just want the best viewing experience, again this isn’t for editing, so I want to take advantage of the P3 Wide color gamut for viewing.

Simple curve + matrix: let macOS believe that grey is pristine & neutral

For white choose between native (do not modify) and usual D65 white.

Spyders are not very accurate… you can use some user made CCSS corrections for that model or bundled widegamut LED mode for Spyder in upper right combo box.
