Black Point Correction

Hi guys, using an oled.

Can someone explain how to use the BPC properly.

-How does the % slider work for BPC, does 5% mean it will get the black tail within 5% of the target luminance value, or up to 5% of black where-ever it starts/ends?

-What does the rate slider do, does it only impact auto?

-How does Auto behave, what marker does it look for?
