    Hi, basic questions I’m sorry.

I’m setting my Davinci Resolve project in rec709, and calibrating my monitor accordingly with Displaycal.

Should I set my Benq PV270 internal:

    Gamma: 2.4
    Color Gamut: rec.709

Or are the monitor settings redundant if Displaycal is handling the setup?

    (Macos High Sierra)

    Thanks

    Hi,

the recommendation for profiling is always to set the monitor to native gamut, so that monitor internal processing is disabled. That way, you will get the native device response when profiling, which is desirable.

Ahh thanks, you wouldn’t know what the native Gamut of a Benq PV270 is at all?

I’ve looked online but can’t find info. Would it be the widest Gamut it does? P3?

    Thanks in advance
