Hi I have an Asus VC239 Monitor which i am trying to calibrate. The monitor itself has a variety of different modes, the two main ones being Standard and scenery. I have tried calibrating the monitor using the standard mode and i get about 87% RGB gamut coverage. However if i switch to scenery mode which is a considerably more saturated mode i get 92% sRGB coverage.
What Im wondering is if i use the scenery mode and then calibrate am i getting over saturated calibration or does Displaycal adjust and balance out the extra saturation?
Also does the difference of 5% sRGB coverage make a big difference?
Thanks!
Hi,
check which profile type you’re using. Only LUT profiles can determine accurate gamut coverage.
