Is there a difference between using the 3DLUT Maker on a pre-existing profile vs. generating one through the main DisplayCAL menu, via Settings “Video 3D LUT for madVR” and Display “madVR”?

I had generated a calibrated Default (Gamma 2.2) profile and then ran that through the 3DLUT Maker but found the results pretty dark, even after changing the Gamma from 2.4 to 2.2., which makes me wonder if I did it wrong.

The standalone 3D LUT maker can use custom source (and “look”) profiles, but that is about the only difference. Normally, it is more straightforward to use the 3D LUT tab of the main application.
