Hi
i just wondering if the 3D LUT i made a few months ago with around 9000 patches is correct for 10 bit video also?
there is alot of more colorshades in a 10 bit video right so how does the 3D LUT works with that?
i have checked some 10bit videos already with my current 3D LUT and they look amazing on this KRP-500M
you can clearly see that the image boosts more colors than before
but i dont know if they are accurate or not.
is it even possible to calibrate a 3D LUT from 10bit patterns (1024 steps)?

The video bit-depth should not really influence whether the 3D LUT produces correct results or not.

Not more colors, but finer steps between them.

2 steps of colorshades is two colors
4 steps of colorshades is 4 colors and so on
sure it is more colors in a 10bit video 🙂
4 times more of them right
But ok 3d lut is not affected then.
Thanks
4 times more of them right
Yes, but it does not affect the gamut (“vividness”) of what is displayed, only the smoothness due to more available gradation steps.
