Hi
I tried to install DisplayCal on Mac as described. It says drag the folder to Applications – I expect it means drag programs / apps to Application?
Well, first I copied Display cal and tried to run it. A lot of installation windows appeared and it ended with an error. Then I tried to run the 0install Launcher, not sure what it was. Hung and did not help. Ort.pygtk.macosx-2.24.0.pkg was downloaded and installed. If I after having deleted DisplayCal copied it to my Applications folder again it just starts and then disappears again.
My system works fine with a lot of other applications, so not sure what the problem could be.

If the 0install version does not work for you, try the standalone version.
Tried the standalone on another Mac and it works fine also on PC. So will try that again on the first El Capitan Mac I had issues with
