When I create a spectral correction with my colormunki photo for my LG OLED, the resulting correctionfile always has the display type set to refresh, regardless of the type of display I enter. Don’t know if this really has any implications, but it makes it unselectable together with the display type set to non-refresh on the instrument page.

  1. It’s intentional – spectral corrections are meant as generic corrections for the given display technology type, and even if the type is (e.g.) white LED, there may be displays with the same technology but scanning backlight (or black frame insertion), so it is useful to detect a refresh period (if any) so the instrument can sync to it. Other than that, there is no difference between non-refresh and refresh measurement mode.
