I have used my Spyder 3 Elite with Datacolor Software for profiling my projector. Unfortunately the datacolor software does not work on recent OSes. I am very happy to see your DisplayCal and it works fine for monitor – but I can’t get it work for projector. The Spyder 3 is capable for profiling projectors (as I did before with datacolor soft.), can you tell me how to get this work again?

I would expect to find in the Spyders’ manual how to position the device for projector measurements.
Well I now how to do it (how to place and so on…) I can’t configure my Spyder 3 in DisplayCal as for profiling a projector – I do not have this option in “modus” – I just have “LCD” and “refresh”. There should be a modus “projector”…
No, there shouldn’t. You use the “LCD” mode for projectors. If you have a correction for your specific projector, you can set it under “Correction”.

And it says right there that a “projector” mode is only available if supported by the instrument.
and I made many projector calibration with that instrument – so I presume it is supported by this instrument this with the original Datacolor software. Question is – does DisplayCal see this instrument (Spyder3) the same way…
