Since upgrade to Windows 10 Home Build 1903, DisplayCal Profil Loader doesnt run. This Bug was reproducible in version 3.8.1 and 3.8.2.

  1. Many thanks for the fast support. With disable the “fast startup” end reboot, it seems like it works.  I think, the ticket can be closed.

  2. This thread seems to fit my situation most closely. This is what I’ve experienced…

When I cold start my PC, the DisplayCAL’s profile loader icon appears orange with a “minus sign” through the middle (no error messages appear). It remains like this until I warm restart my PC. A warm restart results in the profile loader icon appearing normal again.

I am using DisplayCAL v3.8.2. Seems like the profile loader issue began after the most recent OS update to v1903. The issue also happens with the previous version of DisplayCAL (which had actually functioned properly before the OS update).

The KB4505057 and KB4497935 updates aren’t available for my PC (according to my Windows Update in Settings).

Disabling “fast startup” seems to have done the trick, though. Thank you!

    Basic info on my PC…
    CPU: AMD E2-3000
Video: ATI AMD Radeon HD 8200 / R3 Series
    OS: Windows 10 64-bit v1903
