When I try to calibrate a 3d lut for madvr I get crashes after setting up the device (just before you can do the interactive adjustment) and when all the patches have been measured in the calibration step.
I’m just using the default rec 709 settings in DisplayCal paired with a x-rite i1 display.
Not every time this seems to crash at the device setup, but so far I’ve been unable to update my 3d lut because it keeps crashing in the end.
It also seems like the crash happens more often when I set the madTPG program to “always on top”, but that might be a coincidence.

Versions:

  • DisplayCAL: 3.5.2 (zero install)
  • Argyll: 2.0.0 (auto downloaded using DisplayCal)
  • MadVR: 0.92.14
  • Windows 10 v1709

This is what Windows logs about the crash with exception code 0xc0000005
