Should I select my custom calibrated monitor color profile also in for example Photoshop or other graphics apps where my new profile pops up in the choices or should I just let the app use the standard selected profile that was before? Like sRGB or adobe RGB etc..?
Hi, it is better to use the srgb preset in photoshop, illustrator etc. if you have monitor with srgb coverage, if you have a wide gamut monitor you can select adobe rgb 🙂
Thanks!
So thelse image edit programs uses first my corrected monitor profile and under that their standard profile for color space, cmyk or RGB or whatever and I then still get corrected colors for my specific monitor?
This gets a little tricky for my brain =D
When you edit images you can adjust via command how it will look on your monitor – proof set up – proof colors and see the difference between the gamut and your icc or icm profile 🙂
here you’ll find a  lot of usefull informations regarding color management.
