    Hello,

I am a user of DisplayCal on macOS and I calibrated my JVC HD350 projector using it, which allows me to use any video player on macOS and benefit of the calibration by using the obtained ColorSync profle.

I also have an NVidia Shield but I never used it with my projector since there is no way to use a calibration profile. However, I discovered that Kodi (which is available on the Shield) has now calibration features and can use a 3DLUT (see screenshot).

So my question is, can I use on  Shield`s Kodi  the 3DLUT  obtained from the macOS calibrated profile ?

    Thanks for your help.

    S.

First of all inspect, even visually, the color management on that Kodi with no LUT3D. If it is a widegamut feed some 100% saturation R, G, C, it will ve obvious if some color management is being applied. There were such MP4 files in AVSForum

Let’s suppose that there is no color management at all when rendering on that kodi screen, windowed or fullscreen. That LUT3D will be very simple since it’s likely that you are suing a matrix single curve profile at OS level due to the Apple CMM limitations. You can reutilize the profile but it will be very simple, no volumetric corrections.
It will be wise to test with sample RGBCMY 100% saturation MP4 files and test gamma and grey color with 10-100 IRE grey samples. You can use spotread or if you had another computer HCFR in non auto mode.
