Your device needs to use ArgyllCMS USB driver. Install it. It is described in ArgyllCMS doc. Current DisplayCAL is using obsolete ArgyllCMS 2.1.2 as reference, so it is the latest version with USB driver signed. You’ll have to install newer one manually .

BTW IDNK if Spyder X2 is in Windows INF driver fro Argyll USB driver. Ask in ARgyll Mailist.

There is a signed driver for the recent Argyll 2.3.1. Use the menu option “Tools” -> “Instrument” -> “Install ArgyllCMS instrument drivers…”.

Although I think the SpyderX2 is not yet supported by ArgyllCMS (and in extension, DisplayCAL).

    v3.8.9.3 , Argyll 2.3.1

If I put in my browser:
    displaycal.net/Argyll/Argyll_V2.3.1_USB_driver_installer.exe.zip
    It downloads 2.1.1 zip

What is the URL for Argyll 2.3.1?

I have installed 2.3.1 but i think it doesn’t support.

Because Spyder x2 Elite was not showing.

    It has usb type-c port.

Argyll CMS v 3.0 has been released today. Maybe this helps.

Why displaycal was using 4 years old version.? I think it needs to get new update, latest 2023 version. Because lot of calorimeters launched this year and last year. But displaycal was not updated by since 4 years. I think After 2023 displaycal updated version my Spyder x2 Elite will detect by displaycal software.

That‘s not DisplayCals fault. DisplayCal is mostly just a graphic user interface for Argyll-CMS, which is doing most of the work in the background. So instead of typing command you can set your settings in checkboxes and dropdown menues.

And Argyll-CMS got a big update recently. So there was a chance of it supporting more recent colorimeters.

But since support for the Spyder x2 wasn’t added yet you might want to send a request to Graeme Gill over at argyllcms.com

Yaa I have installed latest version of Argyll-CMS 3.0 but it doesn’t work at all for my Spyder x2 Elite. Even it was not detecting by the software
