Is there any way to test a calibration tool. I have a Huey Pro and use DisplayCAL with it. I have had to rebuild my PC and haven’t used the Huey for quite a while now. It did seem to be working ok a while ago but it seems to be all over the place now.

I know it is cheap and old and I didn’t want to replace it if it was still working. But since switching to Windows 11 things are not good. Every time I set the colour balance, white point etc. it needs different settings in DC. When it sets the profile the colours are awful.

Can I test the Huey any  way? I don’t want to bin it if it is a W11 or software issue?

    Any suggestions gratefully received.

You’ll need a reference device to compare against. Or if you had a reference display with some wel know coordinates fro white & RGB primaries you can measure and see the difference, but that will only test that huey against that partocular lED technology.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don’t have access to another device at the moment. Presumably I can use a test chart with known RGB figures and see what happens. The problem I have though is when I use the first pop-up and balance the three bars to acheive the right colour balance and white level, it is different each time with a definite cast either red or green.

Thinking it through the only way would be another device that is known to be working and see if the same thing happens. This will at least narrow down the options.
