Greetings. I recently switched to macos operating system. As someone who made the mistake of using a wide gamut monitor in Windows, I liked the color management system of macos very much. I tried to install displaycal and calibrate it. my settings are as in the picture, I wonder if it is possible to improve this even more? I don’t have very detailed information about calibration. I just wondered if I could plug in the device and get even better results with a few settings. thanks.

I got the ccss file from hardware unboxed. it wasn’t in displaycal database. i don’t know if there could be something wrong with the ccss file.

monitor msi g274qpf-qd. quantom dot wide gamut monitor.

I used the testchart with the options suggested for dwmlut in this comment. https://hub.displaycal.net/forums/topic/how-to-create-a-custom-test-chart-with-256-grayscale-patches/#post-36822 I thought the more tests the better the calibration but I don’t know.

macOS system color management does not like complex profile so, a matrix profile with fake infinite contrast like in your settings us the way to go.
Regarding testchart, it’s a matrix profile, i doubt any gain past small/extended testchart for LUT profiles (to have more greyscale points).

In windows there are tools to make display behave like an idealized sRGB gammut and X.X gammaon non color managed apps, better than macOS system wide gaolor management because in windows using those tools display characterization can me a XYZLUT profile for bad behaved displays… also run dithering on shaders so no banding bc VCGT on older macintel iGPU.

Thank you, Vincent. Dwmlut etc are nice but usually if I am sitting at home in front of the computer I play games and the frame generation application I use with dwmlut does not work together. I have written to both developers about this but I didn’t get an answer. I still use dwmlut with the suggestions I got from you guys in the old threads but it is very nice to use it without any conflicts etc. Since color does not determine my workspace like you guys, it is enough for me to be able to see the image as it is or to be very close to it. I hope this overlap problem will be solved.

I guess there is nothing extra I can do. Thank you for your help
