Spectrometer then coloimeter

How do I know if the iDisplay Pro I have is able to get these firmware updates; I assume which helps in doing spectrometer on such devices ?

There are no firmware updates. i1d3 are measured at facory, like ly with something like a monochormator and a reference at teh same time.

“generic” CCSS + particular i1d3 firmware data = correction for that specific device, ccss are portable as long as they are used to measure the same backlight technolog or display model (within some tolerance/variation)

particular display + particular colorimeter +  reference device XYZ measurement for WRGB = ccmx, not portable between devices

It is as MW said, get CCSS for a display, use i1d3 with DisplayCAL and that CCSS, that’s all
