Hello all,
Quick question, how the heck to I get a “profile only” in version 3?
I read the documentation, couldn’t find any thing helpful; version 2 was so much more easier.
Thanks!
Hi,
it’s simple, on the “Calibration” tab set “Tone curve” to “As measured”.
Deactivate “Interactive display adjustment” if you want to skip that as
well.
Is there also still an option for “calibrate only”?

No. It’s not a very useful option, because you can’t really do much with a calibration unless it’s embedded in a profile. The equivalent of “Calibrate only” would be to create a really quick profile (i.e. set the testchart patches amount slider on the “Profiling” tab to the lowest value, or create and use your own testchart with a low amount of patches).

It could also be combined with the “Create synthetic ICC profile” feature to get non-measured profile data (e.g. using sRGB values).
Of course this would be all experimental – not for real-life use. Nobody really needs a “Calibration only” feature, I know. 😉 I was just asking out of curiosity, and because there was such a button in earlier versions of DispCalGUI.
