Bare with me on this one.

I have a Legion 9i with a 4090 Mobile dGPU.  I have been trying to calibrate this display for two weeks now.  I have come to a dead end and need more help.  I have already reached out to Ted over at ColourSpace because I originally thought the i1DP3 he sold me was bad.  Turns out after getting another i1DPP from Amazon the same problems accures.

Let me try to explain in details and what troubleshooting I have done with Ted.

I have tried using DisplayCal, Calman, and HCFR.  All with the same exact result with two i1 Display Pro type colorimeter.  Which is 80% white and 100% white turns pink after calibration.  Ted and I went through all kinds of troubleshooting to find out what the issue(s) are.  I have an i1 Pro spectrophotometer and we did CCSS on DisplayCal and Meter Profile Calman.   Everything we have done no matter what the 100% white is way off and in the cyan area.  I installed Calman alone on another laptop that never seen Calman, HCFR, or DisplayCal so no drivers were ever installed on it.  But still the Legion 9i screen after calibration will end up with a 100% white in pink.  All of this is done is SDR mode, and NOT HDR in Windows 11.  I have attached a bunch of screenshots, all Calman, because Ted wanted to work in that environment.

Additional notes.  if I use the i1 Pro on this Legion 9i it will calibrate correctly.  but I can’t set the backlight to max as the i1Pro will continuously complaint it is too bright.   I have used this same Legion 9i laptop and calibrated a Samsung TV and the color is “normal”… at least not exhibiting the 100% pink after calibration.  However, my Legion 9i say it is above 750nits during peak luminance test and the Samsung TV never went that high.

I wanted to reach out to the DisplayCal community to see if anyone else know why this is happening.  Or any suggestions so I can calibrate the laptop’s screen at the native brightness.

    TIA

I forgot to mention, Ted’s last recommendation was to use the GPU to lower the contrast.  However, I am not sure why.  since I used the brightness and contrast bar to get it to 16 and 235.
