I am trying to create an ICC profile to use with JRiver media player. JRiver is able to use the system wide ICC file or a 3dlut for calibration but I am not understanding several things.
- Does the ICC profile also calibrate my display (in this case a JVC NZ500 projector) or is it simply measuring its capabilities?
- I am getting bad results with the ICC profile (mostly issues with blues) that do not show up if I use a 3dlut that DisplayCal creates, any idea what I am doing wrong?

ICC stores a tag to calibrate grey, loaded system wide into GPU. It also stores display colorspace description (when measured). It is task to app (Jriver) to color manage using that info in the same Photoshop does.

Maybe they are out of gamut. Plot 3D using DisplayCAL profile info vs sRGB/rec709 to see these things.
Can you attach the ICC profile? Which settings did you use to create the profile & the LUT?
