- If you do not want GPU calibration applied
-set first display to D65 using OSD, set gama closesto your target on OSD
-set all in calibration tab to as measured
-make a profile, set linear calibration curves when asked.
-use that profile (without GPU calibration) as default display profile in OS settings
-make LUT3D. No need to check VCGT because there is no VCGT data.
If you do what you suggest, disable VCGT lut loader to GPU, use LUT3D with VCGT data, Photoshop and others (apps that use ICC color management), which expect display to behave as ICC says, will show wrong colors in grey (unless without calibration display was perfect, of course).
