    Hi everyone,

Im just about to begin the deep dive into the world of monitor calibration, im a DIT by trade and want to expand my knowledge base on the subject.

Im just about to purchase a standard range Jeti 1151 spectro and a K10a/CR100, and before i get calman, i would like to try DisplayCAL.

I want to be able to profile my monitor with the spectro, then load the profile and calibrate with my colourimeter. I cant see anything like this on the forums here, and would like to know if its possible.

    Many thanks

    James

You “profile” the colorimeter with the spectro for that monitor.
Menu: Tools, correction, create colorimeter correction, CCMX type (matrix). MEasure with spectro, then measure bellow with colorimeter, let displaycal create 3×3 XYZ to XYZ matrix correction.
Then on 1st tab choose colorimeter and yiur newly created correction.

As an optional tasl you can create a CCSS correction for that display, so users with i1d3 colorimeter can use it for same model of display.

Worth pointing out that some high-end devices like CR100 are not supported by argyll/displaycal.

Might be time to go the comercial spftware route like Colourspace (the more expensive licenses are required for high end gear).
