Dear DisplayCAL Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek assistance regarding a persistent issue I am facing while attempting to install an ICC profile using DisplayCAL. Here are the details of my setup and the problem I am encountering:
System Information:
Operating System: Windows 10 Home Version 2009 Build 19045.3570 x86_64
DisplayCAL Version: 3.8.9.3
Python Version: 2.7.16
ArgyllCMS Version: 3.0.0
Problem Description: I am attempting to install the ICC profile generated by DisplayCAL for my BenQ PD2700Q monitor. After the calibration process, when I try to install the generated ICC profile using dispwin.exe, I consistently receive the following error message:Dispwin: Error - Failed to install profile 'LCD1_2023-10-11_13-25_2.2_S_XYZLUT.icm'!
The session logs indicate that the calibration is being set and verified correctly, but the installation fails repeatedly.
Steps Taken:Checked the file path and ensured the ICC profile file exists.
Verified the file integrity by re-downloading the profile.
Ran DisplayCAL as an administrator.
Temporarily disabled antivirus and firewall software.
Checked system event logs for related errors (no specific errors found).
I have attempted to install the profile multiple times, but the issue persists. I have attached the detailed session logs for your reference.I kindly request your urgent assistance in resolving this matter. If there are any additional diagnostics or steps you would like me to perform, please do let me know. Your help in this matter is highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Best regards,
Adam

I see Graeme Gill has removed the links to the 2.x versions from the home page, however they still appears to be accessible: https://www.argyllcms.com/Argyll_V2.3.1_win64_exe.zip
Suggest trying 2.3.1
2023-10-12 at 12:36 #139178Log says DisplayCAL loader was set to startup, so another option is to copy manually to c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\color & reboot. Then in DisplayCAL set “current” as upper combo and validate profilewith a meaurement report with all simulation options off.
