I want to create a 3DLut of the calibrated gamut of my monitor to use it on mpv for mapping video color spaces like BT.709 to my display.
I thought of setting the same source and destination profile but I am not sure if this would be correct:

This is what the mpv manual says:

I am aware mpv can use the ICC profile directly, but I was just wondering if it was possible to create a 3DLut based solely on the gamut of the display for other applications to tone-map defined video color spaces to it.
Thanks.
Source should be the content colorspace you want to simulate.
=> “reencode RGB numbers in SOURCE to other set of colorimetric equivalent RGB numbers in my DESTINATION/Display”.
