I have a Samsung Odyssey 49″ display, the VA panel version.
Since I built this PC in March and started using this monitor I have been using the “Spectral: LCD PFS Phosphor WLED family” option for the “Correction” box in the “Display & Instrument” tab.
Is there a better selection I should be using for my monitor or does someone have a better option they can provide? If someone has one and attaches to a response, please tell me what folder to copy it to.
If it matters, my GPU is a Asus TUF OC RTX 5080.
The best might be one you make with a spectrometer. Research which one is the best. I wish someone have one and share.
Just wondering how does one put a instrument flat on the screen with a curved screen? Is your color saturation de correct after calibration in HCFR or in Displaycal reports? A report might help to know if a new correction is needed.
Thanks for the response!
The center of the monitor is flat enough that I have never had an issue with the i1DP being flat against the screen and have been using it on a curved monitor since 2017.
As far as a report, is the below what you are asking for? This is from my latest calibration last week.
I can not access the reports. It has strange page not found error. I can not get a workaround. I think it is the displaycal.net web server. Being happy and in the ballpark specs of the monitor is signs of the right calibration file. The report gives your meter type too. Please try to attach the report as a attachment.
See if this works.
