I have to say I am not familiar with linux but I downloaded the installation package, the Ubuntu install procedure seems to work fine… but at the end I can’t find Displaycal in the installed software list and I get no message whatsoever. Thanks.

You can find it in the Ubuntu menu under “All applications” -> “Installed” -> “More”, or just type “DisplayCAL” in the menu’s search box.

Now, is there a way to know if the profile is loaded, or just switch the profile on and off? Thanks again.

In Ubuntu’s System Settings, there is a “Color” applet that shows devices and assigned profiles.
