    Hi,

colord doesn’t seem to be working (or some component is missing) on your system. Please update to ArgyllCMS 2.0, and/or install xiccd (colord session daemon responsible for profile management).

    Hi there,

I am reported the very same warning but from the command line: dispcal: Warning – new_dispwin: Expected VideoLUT depth 11 doesn’t match actual 10

I installed xiccd, and tried ArgyllCMS 2.0 and ArgyllCMS 2.11 (built from sources). The warning remains and I am unable to calibrate the monitor. I am not even sure if this issues are related.

The warning doesn’t affect anything and can be ignored. It is not related to colord, so if you are having colord-related problems, you would need to look into those.

Thanks for such a fast answer:

I managed to get some good profile, but it wont install.

Which desktop are you using? The default GNOME 3 based one? Then you do not need xiccd.

    Hi,

Calibrated profiles can be installed in the desktop settings, they seem to work fine.

I never managed to do it over the tool, which was kind of a bummer. But in the end, I managed to calibrate the screens. The original post warning still shows up, both in the GUI and the command line. I learned to ignore it.

    Thanks for your time
