    Hi everyone,

I,m trying to calibrate my cg319X through Davinci Resolve (and BM Ultrastudio 4K Mini), and having as a tutorial reference theis Eizo official guide :

It says that there is a correction profile for this monitor, but I’ve just found an edr file named RG_Phosphor_Family_25Jul12_CG319X.edr

The problem is that display cal ( on the Display instrument page) does not let me load this type of files, only ccss… correcct ?

Am i doing something wrong ? or where I could find this file?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

Use argyllcms tool “oeminst” to translate Xrite binary format “EDR” to text file format “CCSS”. Data is the same but CCSS is plain text.

    Thanks Vincent,

But when I open oeminst the Terminal opens ( see attached screenshot), what I’m supposed to do , open the edr. as text and copy it to the terminal?

It is a command line applitaion, open a terminal and provide manually the parameters (oeminst pathtoedr)

Install OEM data files, Version 3.0.0
Author: Graeme W. Gill, licensed under the GPL Version 2 or later
    usage: oeminst [-options] [infile(s)]
    -v [level] Verbose
-n Don't install, show where files would be installed
-c Don't install, save files to current directory
    -S d Specify the install scope u = user (def.), l = local system]
infile Manufacturers setup.exe install file(s) or .dll(s) containing install files
infile.[edr|ccss|ccmx] EDR file(s) to translate and install or CCSS or CCMX files to install
If no file is provided, oeminst will look for the install CD.

Edit: anyway, if it is too complicated use “HP Z24x G2” (WLED PFS phosphor AdobeRGB 99%) bundled with i1d3 corrections for DisplayCAL. It should be close enough. Same backlight tech.

Edit2: I assume that you have replaced original RG_phosphor EDR in ColorNavigator7 folder (ProgramData, for Windows) with Stuart’s modified EDR (change file name) before using HW calibration to get D65 and your desired brightness.

Let’s say you have Argyll in /Users/Albert/Desktop/MyThings/Argyll_3.0.0/bin

Let’s say you have EDR in /Users/Albert/Desktop/MyThings/EDR/RG_Phosphor_Family_25Jul12_CG319X.edr

Open console /terminal / command line (Applications utilities), then type

    cd /Users/Albert/Desktop/MyThings/Argyll_3.0.0/bin

    ./oeminst /Users/Albert/Desktop/MyThings/EDR/RG_Phosphor_Family_25Jul12_CG319X.edr

It should create equivalent CCSS  and install it somewhere /Users/Albert/Library/Application Support/ArgyllCMS, I do not remember details.
Then start/re start DisplayCAL and it should show on colorimeter corrections as “CG319_TEST”.

    And

Edit: anyway, if it is too complicated use “HP Z24x G2” (WLED PFS phosphor AdobeRGB 99%) bundled with i1d3 corrections for DisplayCAL. It should be close enough. Same backlight tech.

    Hi Vincent,

I’ve been trying to execute this commands with no success…  This is how I proceed…

First of all whe I open Console, no Terminal option appears, I do understand that I must open terminal right?

If I open Terminal, and then I type:

    cd/MacintoshHD/Applications/Argyll_V3.3.0/bin./oeminst/Users/ramis/Desktop/RG_Phosphor_Family_25Jul12_CG319X.edr

(This is the exact location where I have all the Argyll 3.0.0 latest download)

And then I get a response : zsh: no such file or directory

I’ve noticed that display cal stores all this profiles in: ( i tried to change the location to)

    cd/MacintoshHD/Library/ArgyllCMS/oeminst/Users/ramis/Desktop/RG_Phosphor_Family_25Jul12_CG319X.edr

But  I get the message again  : zsh: no such file or directory

    What am I doing wrong?

    Really appreciate your help!

    cd/MacintoshHD/Applications/Argyll_V3.3.0/bin./oeminst/Users/ramis/Desktop/RG_Phosphor_Family_25Jul12_CG319X.edr

If you do not know how to use basic command line in macOS, it’s easier to use HP Z24X G2 bundled in DIsplayCAL corrections for i1d3. It should be very close to the ones generated by Stuart Pointon fro Eizo APAC.
