I use DisplayCAL to auto-load my ICC Profiles, but I use Calibrite Profiler to do the calibrating. After calibrating my new monitor (MSI MPG 272URX), I noticed the contrast appears very blown out when I have DisplayCAL “Load calibration from current display device profile(s)”. Setting it to “Reset video card gamma table” makes it look more like how it should.
Weird thing is, I have two other OLED monitors that I calibrate the same way, and neither of those result in blown out contrast when I use the “Load calibration from current display” method, only this new monitor. Looking for answers as to why DisplayCAL is acting weird with this monitor alone.
I figured out what the problem was. ‘AI Vision’ in the Monitor’s settings was enabled by default, causing the contrast to be blown out. I disabled that and set ‘Night Vision’ to Off.
