updated to the latest version this morning when I click display cal icon on the taskbar it says calibration state was applied 55 times today and it keeps going up never had this problem before

That’s not a problem, it’s working as intended.
just seems strange as before it only went up when I clicked it now its on 100 thanks for the reply
See the changelog, calibration state preservation behavior has been adjusted due to graphics driver bugs and the Win10 Creators Update. Previously, it wasn’t counting implicit reapplication of the calibration state (only explicit due to user interaction), and that’s the only visible difference (now it actually reapplies the calibration less often, previously it would do so every three seconds).
