Does DisplayCAL adjust white point temperature during the calibration process? Does it place the color temp in the .icm file for all apps to use?
I have been trying to get 6504k (D65), but have been unsuccessful at getting an exact match. On my Dell UP2716D I calibrated both the HDMI thru Decklink, and a DisplayPort directly to video card. I used Custom Mode, and adjusted RGB during DisplayCAL initial calibration. Does DisplayCAL not make more adjustments to get it closer to 6504k?
Decklink: Display profile whitepoint: xy 0.3128 0.3294 (XYZ 94.96 100 108.63), CCT 6496K
DisplayPort: Display profile whitepoint: xy 0.3116 0.327 (XYZ 95.28 100 110.53), CCT 6582K
Decklink: Display profile whitepoint: xy 0.3128 0.3294 (XYZ 94.96 100 108.63), CCT 6496K
Delta E 2000 to D65: 0.28, that seems very good (Decklink output precision is 10 bit over Resolve afaik if the connected display supports it).
DisplayPort: Display profile whitepoint: xy 0.3116 0.327 (XYZ 95.28 100 110.53), CCT 6582K
Delta E 2000 to D65: 1.14, still ok, but precision may be limited by the bitdeph of the display chain (usually 8 bit).
