Aloha everyone, I new on this.

I just order a Innocn 32m2v and I want to get a calibrator, I going to use for photo/video, I not a pro.

according with Calibrite I do need the plus version to be able to calibrite dci-p3 and rec2020, is this correct?

    Thank you for your time.

No, the pro will do the work. It seems that TV is 1000nit. But you can buy the plus. For ArgyllCMS it’s the same device with the same features.

Also… it is highly unlileky that you will be able to “calibrate it to DCI P3 or Rec2020 PQ”. You will be able to calibrate it to some whitepoint, neutral grey and gamma.

For colorspace simulations (unless it has some kind of relible HW calibration /SDK provided by vendor) you’ll have to rely on a mix of OSD preset, GPU grey calibration (the calibration  rpovided by Calibrite / Xrite /DisplayCAL) and some colorspace simulation software like madVR/Resolve/DWMLUT.

I mean, if that display has no HW cal, you’ll rely on a software layer to fully simulate some colorspace.

What software are you going to use for video editing & playing?
Did you read that display manual so you knwo which OSD prests it has, which are locked and such things?

Photo use is pretty straight forward. Choose whatever whitepoint & brightness you need, use some OSD preset with full natuive gamut & calibrate & profile. But for video your editor or player may lack of that software layer that do color transform and IDNK what you want to do.

As for software I know premiere, planing to learn Davinci, this monitor have some clamps, dci, rec709, adobe, srgb.

I like the MSI mpg321-ur qd and the Asus PA279CRV but the inoocn 32 was a deal in Amazon for 740$, not sure if I did the right thing, waiting on delivery day still…

The video part is for drone videos, planing to get the Air 3, also now days most phones have HDR, planing to get a better 4k camera also, my Nikkon d3200 got old.

Thank you for your time Vincent.
