HI I have a Swit FM-21.5 HDR monitor used as a client monitor on set. In order to calibrate the monitor a CSV file needs to be loaded in, but I cant see a way to make one. From a bit or research it seems if I create a 1d lut that needs to be converted, but I cant find a way to do so. Has anybody got any advice ?
Thanks

2025-02-08 at 20:31 #143020Hi Ben, thanks for reaching out. Interestingly it seems the link you have posted is a newer version of the monitor with exactly the same name for some reason!
I have an older version of the monitor, that has a completely different front button panel and different calibration method. I have calibrated lots of my smallhd on camera monitors and computer monitors successfully with 3d luts using displaycal.
I reached out to swit directly about calibrating the monitor a long time ago. It turns out they calibrate the monitor in the factory using a CSV file generated from Calman.
When I had previously uploaded a converted (and presumably incorrectly converted) 3d lut .cube file, I had generated with displaycal, it ruined the display on the monitor completely, and they sent me back a factory CSV calibration file, to bring it back to showing a proper image. This is the screenshot I posted above.
But it has been pretty inaccurate ever since. So I am now trying to work out if It possible to create this calibration CSV file at all using displaycal.
I will post the screenshot of the conversation I had over email with them below for context.

Displaycal makes a txt files. Do not know how easy to convery to csv. Its pretty easy to use Excell and I converted txt files before. Not sure what a csv from calman look like. It be nice to know.
