    Hello,

ive recently been running into a weird issue with my computer and im wondering if anyone else has experienced this before.

basically my colorimeter isnt being recognized by the program. I tried with multiple meters. Color checker display pro,  used the display plus. Still didnt recognize. I initially was in the software color space zro, then hopped over into display cal and was still having the same issues.

I even looked into device manager, went to human interface devices and unplugged all my peripherals to narrow down and see of it’s actually being recognized. And it appears so. So im confused, is it an issue with windows 11? The meters themselves? I cant even calibrate my display. Ill get an error code in colorspace zro, display cal wont see it.  Any thoughts on this?

I figured out the damn issue and in pissed. It had nothing to do with my meter, nothing to do with my hardware. It was fuckin windows. I uninstalled windows 11 to reinstall old version of windows 10, ran the updates, enrolled in extended the security updates and it immediately recognized my probes. So whatever the hell windows 11 is doing thats causing issues with detecting the probe. Genuinely wtf

It is not Windows 11.    It is a driver conflict.   RGB lighting drivers are known to cause problems by not releaseing the HID part of usb leaveing devices undetecable. Could have troubleshooted it with a safe startup with no drivers and gone without unneed programs running.  Windows 11 has a lot of programs that are addons. It is terrible and adds to the memory and a little cpu needed to run programs.  It slows things down.
