Home › Forums › Help and Support › Calibrating a Sony BVM-L230. Panel Type?
Does anyone know what CCSS I’d ideally want to use with a Sony BVM-L230 for my i1d3 colorimeter?
it’s not clear to me what tech this panel has since Sony just refers to it as a “High-Purity Precision LED Backlight LCD”.
Appreciate any help! Thanks!

It’s an LCD (unsure what type) with some form of LED backlighting, not an OLED. Here’s a Sony spec sheet: https://www.broadcaststore.com/pdf/model/816498/BVM-L230%20Brochure.pdf
My fault , I mixed your thread with this one
and I thought that I replied you there so I edited.
Regarding yours, the original post before I edited:
get EDID primaries (file create profile form edid) or measure them (for example uncalibrated display report). If you measure them it should be native gamut, not Rec709 preset. Those primaries will give you a hint for 1 or 2 backlight tech families depending where native green or red are located..
How do you get EDID primaries from an EDID report?
get EDID primaries (file create profile form edid)
or
measure them (for example uncalibrated display report).
(unless that has changed, I remember that it wrote primaries XYZ in the log)
