I got a new computer recently, an HP Zbook Studio G3. Its screen is reported in DisplayCAL as “5189 @ 0, 0, 3840×2160”.
I was trying to calibrate and profile it, but this error happened after the first four measurements.
Corresponding log attached, please tell me if there is anything that I can do to help debug this.

That’s a configuration/setup issue related to the “auto” measurement mode for the ColorHug – sorry about that. To work around the problem, edit ~/.config/DisplayCAL/DisplayCAL.ini and add the following lines (adjust
measurement.save_path
according to your user directory):Shouldn’t the second path be ~/.local/share/DisplayCAL/storage? Copy-paste error I guess?
Oops, you’re correct of course 🙂
Hum, same error though…
What’s new is files were created at ~/.local/share/DisplayCAL/storage/ColorHug2 & HP Zbook Studio G3.cal:
ColorHug2 & HP Zbook Studio G3.cal.{cal,log,ti1,ti3}
Please attach the *.ti3 file, thanks.
Here you go!
Thanks. Please choose “File” -> “Create profile from extended display identification data…” and attach the resulting ICC profile.
Here you go. Note that I had to tar.gz it because the file upload doesn’t accept ICC… There was also a 5189.gam.gz file created, tell me if you need it.
Alright, the EDID does not contain a display model name. This’ll need to be dealt with (already fixed in SVN).
OK, thanks. Will wait for the next release to try again then. :)
Shouldn’t be long, maybe a day or two.
